Where we learn through play.

2020-2021 School-Aged Care

NOTE-I am currently on a wait list for the 2020-2021 school year for school-aged children.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Kirsten’s Day Care and Preschool has decided to expand our childcare model to include school-aged children. We understand the importance of finding a healthy and safe environment for your child(ren) at this time. We hope to provide you with that comfort in our small-capacity, yet spacious and cozy, family day care home. Children will be in a loving home that will allow for social engagement in a safe environment.

Beginning September 2, school-aged children will begin Wednesday and Friday care from 8:00am-5:00pm.  Care will be provided on a month to month basis.  This will provide families with the flexibility needed to enroll, un-enroll, or change the program based on the fluidity of the situation.  School-aged child care will end on June 11.

School-aged children will be given assistance to log-on to their virtual learning. They will also be given a set time to work on homework with guidance. Aside from the activities stated in the previous paragraph, students will also be given games and activities that include math, language, and other skills. We have many nooks for children to socially distance, both indoors and outdoors.

Additional offerings, either in-house or virtually include:

  • tutoring (additional fee)
  • gardening
  • art
  • music
  • cooking
  • basketball
  • guest storytellers
All students and adults will be required to wear masks indoors, at least until the State, APA, CDC, or other agency no longer believes that it is necessary.  For more information, please contact me.

Below are images of just some of the many nooks available to quietly sit indoors or outdoors while working on school work.  There is plenty of space to socially distance while learning.
